The First Baldock Half Marathon is set for March 18 2012. To be known as the Baldock Beast.. (Under ARC Rules - Permit No 12/65)

The Course for ‘the Beast' is a challenging one taking the runners through the picturesque countryside of North Hertfordshire starting from the edge of Baldock and heading out through the lovely villages of Wallington and Sandon returning to the Start/Finish line just outside Clothall Common.
It is classified as a Multi-Terrain course although it is predominantly on road surface with approx. 1.5 Miles off road (grass/gravel)
Ample parking will be available in Baldock on the High Street and Simpson Drive which is a very short walk to the race day registration point at Hartsfeild JMI School which is another small walk to the start finish line.
Race numbers, race chips and t-shirts will not be posted out but will be handed out when you register for the race. Registration will be held on race day morning from 0800-0930 at Hartsfield JMI School, Clothall Road, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6PB. NO ENTRYS PERMITTED AFTER 0930.
There is also registration available on Saturday March 17th at: Zeus Hotel and Restaurant, 20 High St, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6AX, 1000 - 1500hrs

Minimum age 17 years on 18/3/12 race
Banana's and water will be handed out to all on completion and the Trophy Ceremony will take place on Baldock High Street in the afternoon
