Amber Health Baldock

Amber Health evolved through the vision of Tim Moynihan who is a local, well known and respected Osteopath with over 24 years of experience. Tim created Amber Health in 2011 as he saw the need to offer patients a fully integrated ‘Health Care Service’ to include a range of therapies that complement Osteopathy for the benefit of all patients.

The Amber Health range now includes Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy, Podiatry and Chiropody, Sports Therapy Massage, Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine, Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Baldock Town Football Club are calling on the local community to help highlight the lack of sporting facilities in the town.

The club has now been playing outside of Baldock for over half of its existence since it was reformed in 2003 and Chairman Graham Kingham is keen for your support in helping to not only bring the Senior club home, but to also address the shortfall in sporting facilities. Something that is not being addressed despite plans to build many new homes.

Kingham explains "As Chairman of Baldock Town FC I would urge as many people as possible to write in by Tuesday 29th November 2016 to highlight the inequality of leisure facilities in our Town as compared to our neighbours. We currently have youth teams playing on our local school pitches with no changing or toilet facilities. Whist we appreciate that the schools are helping out with the chronic shortfall of available facilities, the problem needs addressing now.

I often wonder what sort of message it sends out when players, siblings and their parents either have to leave the match and go home to use the toilet or as in some cases hide behind a tree!! It is an embarrassment for not only our youngsters but also their opponents and clearly shows that Baldock has been left behind in some bygone era.

With the new housing development set to double our population we must ensure that land is set aside for sports facilities including a new stadium for our adult teams. The consequences of lack of sports facilities are well documented, with obesity and crime levels amongst the young and teenagers significantly increasing. Is this really what we want or indeed need? The Youth teams are already running at full capacity and there is no room for any additional teams meaning children are and will miss out even without a single extra home being built.

I, along with the Baldock Town Youth FC Chairman Andy Dolby, have met with local councillors to discuss this issue. Whilst they are all in agreement and eager to support our plans for a new stadium with youth pitches and training facilities attached, they need as many people as possible to be highlight the problems.

We are currently working on a leisure facility scheme and business plan that they will back when presented to the Full District Council early next year.

In summary we need your voice to be considered by the inspectorate in order that our children and grandchildren will have the facilities and space to enjoy sports and keep fit. Please send in your representation today".

Baldock Town Football Club have won two league titles and three cups since their reformation and are looking well-placed to win more silverware this season playing at the tenth tier of English football. The club is already one the community can be proud of, but bringing the club home would undoubtedly elevate its prominence in the town to a new and exciting level.

Help us address the lack of sporting facilities available to our Town's clubs, by sending your views to The subject line must say "The Future of North Hertfordshire" and please copy (cc) in our official email account

The closing date for this is 29th November 2016.

Thanks in advance for your valued support.
